Many projects are plagued by bad luck; but often this bad luck is simply the predictable outcome of a bad decision.
No one sets out to make a bad decision, but due to lots of circumstances bad decisions are more common than anyone would like.
Making good decisions, and making good decision making the norm for a project, is a force multiplier as it permeates across the project and making good decisions cascades across the team.
In this course you will learn about the common problems that lead to bad decisions, and how to counteract them.
You will learn a simple repeatable process that can be used on the simple straightforward decisions, and on the most significant strategic decision to be made in the project. The process can take a few minutes for the simple decisions, to months for the most strategic ones, but using the process will lead to a good decision.
You are encouraged to use a real decision you need to make on a project as a case study for the course. You will complete several exercises using templates and examples provided so you will not only learn the process, but have worked through the steps to make a good decision for your case study.
